The transaction is estimated to be valued upwards of US$100 million in enterprise value and is expected to generate millions of dollars in operational and commercial synergies.
The transaction received authorization from Mexico’s Comisión Nacional Antimonopolio (CNA) on February 27, 2026, and the definitive transaction documents were executed on March 13, 2026.
The combination of Cartones Ponderosa’s paperboard manufacturing capabilities with Cartolito’s converting operations strengthens the company’s ability to deliver integrated packaging solutions across multiple industries.
The acquisition also reinforces the presence of the OEM Paper Division in the Monterrey industrial corridor.
